A MESSEGE FOR ALL ADMINISTRATORS!!!


Be prepared to receive transfer requests (If you are a Cobb Administrator), resumes by the boatloads, and applications from teachers at Lindley Middle School (Principals from other school systems). They want to “teach” and are requesting Asylum from their current duty station. Be forewarned that these teachers will not get a good letter of recommendation (LOR) from Mrs. Ervin or any other principal at the school. Mrs. Ervin doesn’t want anyone to leave the school in good standing, so she will do her best take a dump on their career if they try to make an exit. Therefore, all administrators will be ordered to remain silent, don’t write any LORs for anyone, and don’t serve as a phone reference. Along with that you may not receive any paperwork requested from her about “said” teacher. I will probably get lost in the mail, the fax won’t work that day, or the email will be down. Wink-wink. I’m not joking. Yes, it’s sad, unethical, and very unprofessional but that’s the world of Sandra “Wanna Be Oprah” Ervin. She’s pitiful. So principals looking for some Blue Chip, free agent teachers…..they are about to be on the market.

  1. You should have made this post about 3 weeks ago. Erv has already spoke negatively about all of the teachers who indicated that they would like to transfer on their "intent" forms.

  3. Well I can't make a post on here because were how to promise to be positive and make no negative comments about Lindley. WHAT EVER! How the hell can Ervin tell everyone to be positive when she is the rudest leader ever. She needs to do what the President of Egypt just did, RESIGN! There were two dog and pony shows at the school this week for principals and assistant principals in area 1. Why the hell is Ervin going around tell everyone she held a conference called: How to Teacher White People how to Teacher Black Students? ....Friday was amazing because Ervin had here office cronies in tears (Raheim) and (Fulwood). We all need to ban together to get Ervin out. Oh by the Way Ervin, thanks to that stunt you pulled at the Special Ed meeting.... MACE will be back soon on a very special day!

  4. I am joining MACE on Monday. I wish I knew what other teachers belong. We need to come together together and get a civil case against her started. Ervin has to be smart enough to know that trying to embarass your faculty is unethical and creates a hostile work place. Ervin, Kordell, Pulium, and Lavizo need to stop obeying her orders. he is like Hitler and they obey her every demand. This makes them just as responsible for the negative things that are happening. Oh, one more thing..... How much money are the students upposed to come up with this week? Title 1 funds should be used to pay for many things she claims these events help. Where is the money she collects going?

  5. Happy Valentine’s Day! Let's spread the love at Lindley and not complain for 8 days! We are all positive! Bull Sh*t! Why would a leader HAVE to tell their staff not to complain? This week she is requesting so much money from the kids I hope NONE pay! Tell the kids not to bring money for Friday. $5 for Gimme 5 campaign then $5 for 2 loooong hours on Friday. This is ridiculous! Parents need to complain about all the money that the kids are spending at Lindley.

  6. What a wonderful day we had at Lindley! Yea right.... If I were a Connections teacher it would have been great. They did not do a thing all day! I wonder how much money they robbed the students of this week? I hate working in a hostile envirnment with a rude disrespectful leader and rude and disrespectful students.
    Things that make you say hmmm
    1.Why did the entire clerical staff get lunch from Cheesecake Factory?
    2. Why is Ervin always late for meeting but gets pissed off if the staff is?
    3. Guess who convinced the board to change the calender from the approved Balanced calender? She cried and said here students would not pass the test due to losing instructional time. Did you notice how mad she was because of the snow days?
    4.Why is ok to lose instructional time when Lindley ismaking money off the students?
    5. Why does everyone have to have a second observation?
    6. Where is all of this money really going?
    7. Why does'nt the School District investigate?

  8. What I don’t understand is the inconsistency of the “academic” teachers at Lindley; can you please decide what you want to complain about? You complain when the “connections” teachers need to pull kids for performances and say that they need them in class. When you get them in class for 6 out of 8 hours you complain that the connections teachers are not doing anything and you have to have your kids all day. There is no CRCT portion for “connections”! If I am correct you have two 50 minute planning periods, right? Well on Friday you were given duty free lunch; that most of you stayed gone for more than 20 minutes, then you were given 2 extra hours with your kids that were not turning in homework or class work or needed extra help and you still complain. Make up your mind! The bottom line is you are so miserable at Lindley that you find anything to complain about. Did you ever think that the “connections” teachers did not make the schedule or decide what to do on Friday; Leadership decided that in their meeting. “Connections” teachers did not decide on how much to charge the kids, Ervin did. So when you decide to fall into Ervin trap of causing separation between teams and between staff in her building that keeps her having the upper hand. The problem is as long as we are all working against each other and nitpicking on each other she wins! We can never get on one accord to get her out. So all you academic teachers that are jealous of the connections teachers and constantly feeding this fire, you are helping Ervin. This is the way she keeps control of us all. If you doubt what I am saying then go and read the Willie Lynch Letter on a previous post!

  9. Many of us did nor receive a duty free lunch. Several of us worked through lunch and received a five minute bathroom break. Nobody showed up to relieve us and we had to hurry back to let other teachers use the bathroom. I understand what you are saying, but my understanding is that leadership team does not decide upon anything. She stated what was going to happen and they had no choice but to go with it. In addition, it was very difficult to get students to do work when many of them were not attending the dance due to lack of funding. The administration was not visible during the hours of the dance and the students had already been through their academic subjects. They should have had their connections classes if they were not attending the dance. The students needed a break from academics by that point. WTF......It doesn't matter what I think:-( People working at McDonalds get treated better. The Lindley way is not working. Can somebody please investigate what is happening at Lindley? It is unfair to the teachers. The students are suffering, because good teachers are leaving whenever they have the opportunity. Please help the teachers so that they will stay and educate the students!!!!!

  10. We really could go on and on about each other (connections verses content), but I agree we need to come together. ALL teachers need their planning AWAY from students! ALL teachers need to be treated like HUMAN BEINGS and PROFESSIONALS! We need to decide now how it's going to be for us. This is for many our third year under Ervin. Enough is enough. Make a stand and stand by your fellow teachers, no matter what they teach. No longer turn a blind eye to the mistreatment of others. Even if it's not you today, it could be you tomorrow! This is only going to work if we are all standing together. What do you say? Are we just going to keep singing or are we going to start bringing it?!

  12. Why did select special education teachers not do this last year? Do all teachers have to do make these binders? A couple of teachers were bragging that nobody said anything about them not doing it last year. We should be given the opportunity to rate our administrators. Other counties and states are having teachers do this.

    Last thing....Are we required to post student work with commentary on the team bulletin boards? Theconnections and the gifted teachers do other things on their boards. What will happen if the teams do this?

  13. I want to send a shout out to The Grade Eight Teachers if any of them are reading this. I heard 90% of your students passed the writing test. We took our son out to celebrate. Please don't let a leader you don't like bring you down. You are working wonders at Lindley. We are proud that our son goes there and has wonderful teachers!

  14. Wow! I had no idea this was going on...I met this person once and did not have a clue. I was thinking about trying to transfer to Lindley but I guess I need to think twice. As a fellow educator all I can say is keep your head up and eyes opened and always CYA!
