EVERYTHING IS NOT WHAT IT SEEMS.....




This post goes out to all the Lindley Rookies. I know you’ve heard all positive things (yea right!) that Mrs. Ervin had to say in the meetings so far. Don’t believe it for a second. It’s all a smoke screen. It’s like THE MATRIX. What you’ve seen and what you’ve heard in pre-planning is not real. You are being made to think that you are in a positive work environment. YOU ARE NOT!! Remember these things and you may be able to make it through the year:
1. NEVER TAKE WHAT SHE GIVES YOU. Everything that she gives you comes at a price. The bread, juice, milk, coffee, sugar, creamer……..EVERYTHING! If you’ve opened a pack of EQUAL , YOU’RE ALREADY IN THE HOLE FOR A PINT OF BLOOD. The fact that you accepted the contract means that you’ve already in trouble. For example, you are required to “unofficially” to neglect your family, kids, and significant others consistently to work until 6 or 7pm at least 3 days out of the week to do a bunch of pointless tasks and insane lesson plans. Just letting you know.
2. YOU WILL SEE THAT MRS. ERVIN IS THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL PERSON YOU HAVE EVER MET. She will degrade, insult, and try to make you feel guilty about things. Just remember that it’s not your fault. She has very low self esteem and she’s a sociopath. She takes pleasure in these types of activities because she is really miserable and needs to try to bring some of that misery to others. ATTENTION: Attractive ladies, she really hates the fact that you look better that she does, so don’t look too cute when you come to work.
3. SHE HATES MEN!! ESPECIALLY IF YOU’RE BLACK WITH A STRONG AND CONFIDENT PERSONALITY. You are already a target. Doesn’t matter if you’ve done anything wrong or not, you will have a problem with you style of teaching……GUARANTEED! Can someone explain to me how a principal can say that she cares about the children (boys included), but hates the men? The last time I checked, boys grow up to become men.
4. SHE FALCIFIES INFORMATION: If she doesn’t like you for whatever reason, she will proceed to build a paper trail against you for the purpose of placing you on a PDP, NONRENEWING YOUR CONTRACT, AND GIVING YOU A BAD EVALUATION. She has no ethics and she will recruit others to join in on the process (people that work in the school and people that work outside the school as well) of getting rid of you. Because of these things you need to do the following…………….
5. JOIN MACE. It is the only protection that you the teacher will have against Mrs. Ervin because GAE in cahoots with her. No matter what they tell you, you will be sold out by them if you need their help in getting her off your back. They represent the principals and the teachers (A DEFINITE CONFLICT OF INTEREST). The $60 may seem like a lot out of your check, but it will be worth it if she decides you target you.
That’s it. TRY to have a good year and remember that you’re there for the kids, but don’t allow yourself the be treated like dirt in the process. BY THE WAY....SHE'S EVIL.

  4. Teachers returning to Lindley, I wish you all the best in spite of your horrible work conditions. Keep your heads up and stay motivated to do the best for the kids. There are better places to teach and don't let Cruella Devill make you think otherwise. Ditto Aug. 12th, I am too so glad to be free.

  6. Horrible is definitely an adjective to use for the work conditions. I would also like to add hypocritical, appalling and replusive. And so there is no confusion...it is not the majority of the students or staff I am talking about.

  9. Well I hope all of you teachers new to Lindley see what we were talking about. Why were there so many teachers crying at Lindley this week? One of them was smart enought to get the hell out of dodge- (You are a lucky one)! I can't wait to see how well Erv's "friend" will do with that class. Is it true that a teacher was so stressed out that and ambualance had to be called? When will the madness end? I am so glad I am not there anymore!!!!!
