  2. Guess that means we will just work harder next year....

  3. Stop the roller coaster and let me off the f*cking ride, or at least place someone in control that knows how to operate it : /

Maybe now Ervin will listen to and hopefully employ some of the ideas and concepts that some of the vetern teachers attempted to convey before she began to crucify us.

Many people didn't like McCray, mostly because he didn't listen to and act upon the gossip and hearsay that Ervin seems to thrive on and her peons most be getting paid to do, but everything he did was to benefit the students and he was able to get us past AYP.

If the almighty Ms. McBeautiful [Grimise], was soooooooooo intelligent, she should have had enough sense to attempt to improve on, instead of tear down the foundation that McCray laid.

Upon further review, I now realize that most of her cronies, you know, the crying "praise and worship" leadership team, follow her so intently. It's because most of them are not even certified.

In fact, about 85% to 90% of the faculty is not certified. What other outcome could we expect of the CRCT tests? Students are being taught by people who don't know their craft or content.

Even the slew of idiots that she brought with her to Lindley. The AVID teachers are not certified, the math teachers are not certified. . . what the hell! Go to www.GAPSC.com and type in your coworker's or child's teacher's name and you can see their experience, certifications and the schools they attended.

Most of the "praise and worship" leadership team is not even certified. Ya'll need to sit down and shut the f*ck up. Evin you can have some of that last statement too. Obviously all those threats, meetings and hot air didn't help us during the CRCT.

And Evin here's another tip, I'll let you have for free, a house divided will always fall. You should be helping to build, unite and support your teachers [especially the certified ones] instead of trying to pit them against each other.

Maybe you're the one who needs to reinterview for YOUR job!

  4. Yeah, McCrary was able to get Lindley past AYP AFTER the retest in the Summer! Those results still have not been released yet, so maybe you need to sit down and shut the f*ck up!

  5. Again I will say, everyone is big and bad behind their computers, but if you are not willing to be part of the solution, by speaking up and standing up for what you believe is right, then you are only an addition to the problem. We all work in education and we all know the struggles everyone goes through, but this bitching and bickering everyone is doing is RIDCULOUS and SAD, and explains why us as a people can't get pass being NIGGAS. Crabs in a barrell, pulling each other down, instead of lifting each other up. The SHIT is SAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  6. Whatever!! Being part of the SOLUTION is just like signing your own death certificate. You will invite immediate retaliation by Mrs. Ervin. That woman isn't going to listen to anything that any of us have to say. She is too insecure and lacks the confidence to let another person have any credit for the success of these chilren. Talk about CRAB IN THE BUCKET…. She is the original crab and the reason that all this is going on now. I have to respond to the comment about people being bad behind their computers. People venting behind computer screens is actually the best thing that could have happened because she invited physical violence on many occasions from many teachers. Be thankful that the staff is civil, yet harsh, in our approach to dealing with her. It could have been a lot worse during the year. Yea Ervin, I know you're reading this stuff....SO What?! I'm going to say it like it is 1) We really don't like you and we think that you are a very poor leader. 2) No one is FOLLOWING THE VISION. We don't know what it is. It is just a phrase that you use to justify causing people harm that you don't like. 3) It is time for you to retire. You have a cotton-field & tobacco farm mentality that has no place in ACADEME. Cut your losses and bow out now. You're not going to out-do McCrary even if you manage to pass the CRCT in September. You're already lost that battle because you're spent triple the money, especially on furniture and paintings (misappropriation of funds), almost doubled the amount of man hours that the teachers worked (Illegal), created division among the staff, abused the staff (Unethical), and the list goes on and on. Face it. That book deal that you were hoping to get for turning around the school just isn’t going to happen. JUST LEAVE. Maybe you should look into getting a part time job on HGTV. They have plenty of interior decorating jobs and you’re good at putting on a show. You’ll fit right in.

  7. Say that Sister Truth!!! I've been thinking about sending the link to this forum, to the Marietta Daily Journal and the Whistleblowers segment of the news. We know they're not afraid to report the truth. Maybe they can shame Cobb County into getting us competent people in the front office.

I'm sick and tired of Ervin's threats and the insane lunacy the "praise and worship" leadership team continue to come up with for us to do from day to day.

Really, if they're walking around watching us all day [walk throughs], then they must not have enough to do. We can get by with two admins instead of four, the spies are doing enough watching as is.

Maybe that's why the kids didn't pass, too many people standing around watching their neighbor instead of doing what they're getting paid to do . . . TEACH. Oh yeah, they're not certified anyway, what was thinking?

    ReplyDelete
  8. These posts are a problem as the teachers seem to be working against one another. How are the children supposed to be successful when the teachers are writing these types of things about one another?

Certified vs. uncertified? Is that where we are now? I hope not, as many provisionally certified teachers are proving themselves to be far more effective that those that possess clear renewable permits that allow them to wallow in mediocrity. If anyone would like examples, I will be MORE than happy to provide them. Many of Lindley's top teachers are provisionally certified, while many of its less desirable teachers have clear renewable certificates, but no mastery of their craft and pedagogy. That is something that many of you should take issue with.

You should also take issue with the fact that you are attacking people out of left field out of frustration with your employment situation. Mrs. Ervin has already said that if you want to leave, then do so. If you are an effective teacher, I am sure she will write a recommendation for you.

As far as the last section of the post above this one, there were provisionally certified teachers that received some of the highest CRCT percentages in the school and also serve on the leadership team and in other capacities.

As far as having all those administrators, they were needed. Two of four of those administrators, Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Dye, were professional and fair in all of their dealings, which served to balance out the administrative team. They don't come at you like they are against you or have it out for you. They simply do their jobs and ensure that you continue to do yours.

You people have a problem with everything. When McCrary was here, you complained about him, even after numerous parties told you all that if you ran him off, you would get someone you disliked even more. I personally like McCrary and Ervin. They are both people with goals, bills and children. You never know the stress and strain that a person goes through until you actually take the opportunity to see from their point of view. Leadership is not easy and to make an omelet, you must break some eggs. It is pathetic that some you eggs are so spoiled already.

You people do understand that these horrible things that you are doing and saying are making YOU look bad and not Sandra Ervin. By sending these posts to the MDJ and Sanderson, you will do nothing but make the public question the type of sordid individual working at Lindley. You do know what happens after that, don't you?

    ReplyDelete
  9. A Cronie had to write that last statement. The provisionally vs certified part is true because the provisional teachers at Lindley are excellent. Mrs Dye is the BEST PRINCIPAL IN HISTORY and I really didn't see much of Mrs. Smith. But that bullshit about bills, children, and breaking eggs has lead me to believe that you are bias in your views. We all know of a teacher that has bill and children and tried to get out of this hell house during the Christmas break and asked to transfer. Did she let him go? No. She made sure to keep him here so she could play games with him and fuck him up on paper. And since you are definitely a cronie you know this to be true. What kind of recommendation did he get? I thought so! You cronies have to stop trying to defend WRONG. You can't have selective vision. You only want to see the good that she does which is very little and ignore the bad things. If you want to live in the Matrix that's fine with me. But keep your ignorant ass off this blog trying to defend Raspusha because there is a greater number of us that see things clearly.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Amen to that last comment! There is no way any logical thinking employee at Lindly, could come to the conclusion that Ervin is doing ANYTHING right and then to blame the problem on "rotten" teachers.

This person is definitely not certified, inexperienced and most likely on that "praise and worship" team. . . the select group that got gift cards right before leaving for Spring Break. How do you sleep under Raspusha, I mean, Ervin's ass all night?

Truth is, there are two realities at Lindley. What's really going on, on a day to day basis and yes, the Matrix that the some have built. The Matrix allows a select few to walk around thinking everything is fine and good as they grin and high five each other. They're usually observed standing around in the main office socializing on school mornings, because they have nothing else to do or they don't know what else to do (uncertified and inexperienced).

Those outside of the Matrix are doing all we can to try and run interference, as we struggle trying to save everyone elses (especially the student's)existence. We usually have to stop a meaningful, education filled planning task to go attend a forced "praise and worship" team meeting.

I would love to see what MDJ Online and the school board would do with the information on this blog. It couldn't be any worst than what we experience on a daily basis, working at Lindley. Only those who are not qualified have anything to worry about . . . damn, once again that's about 90% of the faculty.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Yeah, I see the typo Lindley.

    (Edit to last post)

  12. I agree, we love Mrs. Dye. Poor woman probably lost her husband because she was dealing with some bullshit at Lindley.

Smith is a glorified cook. She served more food than anything. . . the Sunshine Club. Come on! I eat at home and hate to think that my hard earned money is going to waste. I don't eat that shit that Raspusha is standing there breathing over. How gross!

  13. I'm taking action says -

Fred Sanderson and Board Members we are getting rid of you!!!!!

I just contacted SACS requesting a full investigation before CCSD is re-accredited. I also emailed every member of the state board of education with the same information. I spoke to the Attorney General's office. The attorney there says the AGs office cannot enforce open records laws, only merely request that the CCSD answer the allegations. She reccomended filing a complaint in Cobb County Superior Court. To that end, I have contacted several attorney and one organization for assistance. I will let everyone know what I find out. This has to come to an end and now...and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to hold these elected officials accountable to the law. I voted for them and they violated my trust! I'll keep everyone informed.

  15. Who in the hell is the dumb idiot to think that this blog is only about certified and uncertified teachers. You must not BE PROCESSING WHAT WE ARE SAYING ALOUD!!!!! Hello we are trying to get the uncertified, inexperienced teachers (wannabes)to stop stirring up a bunch of shit!!! They think that by messing with people, gossiping, backstabbing and lying it is going to get them in good with their cronies and Ervin, but as you can see it has contributed to the school AYP failure. Obviously there is a difference between the two that why the pay scales are different so all the jealousy, bickering and complaining is going to be investigated by SACS. Other schools in Georgia who do not have qualified teachers lose their accreditation so why does Lindley not get pulled on the carpet. Clayon, Dekalb, and other school's certification were threatened by not having enough certified teachers on staff. In East Cobb they won't even hire your silly ass. So shut up and wait until the pin drops and you will see who gets stuck in the end. I think this deserves an investigation by SACS.

  26. Mrs. Ervin is not blogging here, nor any of the people who you all shamelessly named (though you cowardice remained anonymous). It is Lindley’s Fatigued Falcons posting complaints. With your TIRED ASSES!!! Your lessons are out of shape and your complaints are out of breath. Instead of Fatigued you should have just kept it simple with TIRED. It sounds like the same 6 or 7 people continuously chiming in. Here is a response from a certified-veteran teacher.

For many of us-YES, we've never worked this hard in our lives as we did this past year. Some of you kicked and screamed the whole year. Some of you couldn’t hang and subsequently were absent a lot, some of you are praying for a sign from God right now SMH. You refused to do what was asked of you, and complained and low rated your coworkers behind their backs for doing what was asked of them. Earlier, it was mentioned that a divided school will fall. I agree, I only pray it doesn't fall into the hands of such pessimistic, low work ethic teachers as many of you within this blog. Now a slacker as a leader would really put Lindley to shame. You all aren't trying to take over are you (that would be scary).

What I hear as the biggest complaint is your work load. Listen people, the small workloads aren’t affective either-that lazy work ethic didn't help us to AYP this year. You know many of you blame this year’s "vision" as the catalyst for your stress, tiredness, and lack of AYP status. My question is -well what was the problem with the last five years then? In five years Lindley has made AYP once (last year after summer school). As educators, you forgot to evaluate. That is part of the scientific method-science teachers. You cowards want to blame everything on Mrs. Ervin, the administrative staff, and the leadership team?????????? None of the above stopped my joy-and I was asked to do the same things you all that complain were asked to do if not more. Blame your complaining, lack-luster, un-willing to accept change, un-proficient selves,-for your unhappiness, for your stress, for your fatigue.

    ReplyDelete
  27. You built a blog spot (Oliver) and started it off with slander. You posted ridiculous photos of TV characters. Clarence Thomas? - No you are the Clarence Thomas, thinking you can say whatever you want with no consequences. Your ultimate consequence was allowing an outside force to impede on your life. You and your accomplice talk about people behind their backs, involve their families, stretch truths, and out right lie! Who’s really the kiss ass? I bet you never told any of these teachers what you really felt of them.

This year was hard for me too. It was hard choosing sides. Either you had to be rebellious, complain, and slack on your work, or you could be down for the vision and all it entails. Just like in the classroom-I guess it’s not cool to be smart even as an educator. You all sure make it hard on a person to do what’s asked of them. Well I don’t want to be a part of your gang. I’m not down for this foolishness. I hope you bad kids get transferred to another school/because it’s just too many of you in one room to have an efficient lesson. It’s no secret who you are. You can always tell the ones-look at your scores LOL. Isn’t that what we tell the kids? And not just CRCT-your attendance rates, willingness to participate, eagerness to learn, teacher relationships, student relationships, respect earned and given, number of days you were happy at work, number of times you’ve talked bad about your coworker. Those numbers count too. Go ahead with your bad-selves. Be the best teacher you can be at another school (with the training you gained this year of course). It would only hurt what we’ve built to have you stay on. And why would you stay-you’re unhappy anyway right? I’m sure you’d rather chuck that salary than to work another day in this “sweat shop” with these inexperienced teachers –bills or no bills???? Please be gone!
To all of the certified teachers writing into the blog- a big Applause to you (you must need it). Now, please stop low rating your coworkers and administrators- you are the one gaining the frown lines in your face.
A standing ovation goes to those certified teachers who tried to mentor the provisional teacher with expertise and your willingness to learn more.
To those certified teachers who complained about "This isn't how we did it in Opelika" and I don't need any training because I graduated with honors in 1988 and got my masters online in '03-please get a life. And celebrate those venturing into your profession. Oh yeah-and renew your certification cause it's just about up.

To the uncertified teacher-please get certified quickly. Learn as much as you can from some helpful certified master teacher and try not to be tainted by an old dog with those old tired tricks. Be leery of the certified teacher that slacks off at work they may try to push you around and make fun of the Newby (especially if it’s something they’ve never been required to do before). That’s not education-it's a way of the world.

For the confused teacher that can’t understand for the life of them “what’s going on”, log off now and never come back to this blasphemous web site.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Why don’t the supporters and non-supporters of Mrs. Ervin just agree to disagree. I personally saw both sides of her. There was the professional, caring, sympathetic administrator and I also experienced the unprofessional, hateful, condescending, and threatening side on more than one occasion. However, I did not allow that to affect my job performance because I’m there for the children. I prayed for her, myself, and the situation and my prayers were answered.

For all of you data people, there’s more to data than just the number of students’ passing. To get a better sense of a teacher’s effectiveness, why don’t you find their overall CRCT score average or to really get a sense of their effectiveness – review the % of students that passed in the previous year and those who passed in the current (this really tells the effectiveness story).

In conclusion, I would like to leave you with a couple of things to make you go hmmmm…

    1. How can you give “gifts” for perfect attendance only to take them back at the end of the year?
    2. At the luncheon on the last day during the gift giving, why when Ms Smith pulled certain names out of the bag Mrs. Ervin visibly shook her head and mouthed “no” until Ms. Smith pulled an acceptable name?

  33. I am truly saddened at the personal attacks people are making against other teachers. Has anyone stopped to think what the students would think if they were to find out about this blog and read it! There is a way to voice your concerns without taking it as far as some of you are taking it. A lot of the things that have been said on here are all speculation! Something that a 7th or 8th grade student may not realize. You are tarnishing the names of several innocent people on here.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Let me end this all!!!For those still at Lindley, fear is what is holding you back. Take stock of this...
    1. There is a difference between a CEO mindset and an emmployee mindset. The people left at Lindley have the employee mindset. They long for the constancy of a paycheck, structure and guidance outside of themselves. A CEO mindsets wants freedom, expression and venturing out into the business world.
    2. An employee is comfortable with exchanging their hourly time for an hourly wage. A CEO sees a paycheck as a limit to what they can make and an unfair exchange for their time.
    3. An employee operates within the bounds of predetermined time. A CEO has other things outside of that position to become a well rounded citizen of the world and always keeping themselves knowledgeable.

As a CEO minded employee of Lindley, you are stifled by the current reality of being an employee and your coworkers will often feel threatened by you, even before you open your mouth and your supervisors will usually unfairly micro-manage you because they fear you will take off and produce outside of what their vision(which is most times not a vision) really entails. Don't let your job and others that are going to be there until death keep you from your own vision and passion. Word to the wise; keep your eyes open for opportunites that present themselves for you to leave your job, even before you feel you are completely ready. That unemployment check or severance pay is a blessing in disguise. Being under someone else's vision (that has no good benefit for you) dictates your pay, time and level of freedom, what you eat, how long, how much time to spend with your family, the quality of the clothes you wear, the places you go and live and the type of company you keep. This is not of God for he gave us all a piece of passion and desire to fulfill and to walk into. Transition into your destiny and quit being pawns in the game that in your positions you will never prosper. Think about it and love you all.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I would like to thank the above inspiration. As a new teacher at Lindley, I will take heed.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Amen to that July 28 message. I will begin walking in my destiny in a few weeks. As a verteran teacher the admins at Lindley have been a consistant disappointment throughout the years, yet I have always stayed to myself, done my job and had tremendous success with my students.

Tuning out the "static" and completing the mundane job requirements (meetings, lesson plans, colaborations, etc.) has been a task. Sooner or later Cobb will realize that you really don't need lesson plans to teach children. They do allow your admins to know what you are teaching, but they can be much more streamline than what's being asked of Lindley teachers.

I've added a number of posts to blog since it's inception, many being complaints, but I think that nature is running it's course and those who have ulterior motives for being at Lindley will systematically be removed in due time. A tiger can't change it's stripes.

I have always enjoyed teaching, it's a different organism here at Lindley, but it's great working with the kids and seeing them advance from year to year.

I wish everyone well and I'll be saying it soon as I leave in the near future. My destiny is calling . . .

    Love At Lindley

  37. Did everyone see Ervin's little dancing monkeys at the ice cream party Friday?

    Dance little monkeys, dance!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Oh yes!!! She pointed to one and she did a slave tap dance, she pointed to another and she emulated Michael J in the "Beat It" video and then there was a host of them about to knock each other over as they vied to take their turn.

All her little monkeys wanted to perform, not a one of them wanted to be left out.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Oh, I see. So now if we dance, we are Mrs. Ervin's monkeys? What about those of us who simply enjoy music and dancing?

  42. Sandra is a mess. She puts up a great fake for the public--talks a good talk. She is a real bully, barking at students, teachers, and parents alike; she goes on ranting and raving about "her" school. What the...? Does she not realize she wouldn't have a school without the children or parents? And whose name is on the darn tax bill?
Ervin is looking for a promotion, a pay raise. She doesn't care about the children. Yeah, she has a following but, hell, so did Hitler. Some fools will follow anybody.
Let's not mention test scores. A party for retake scores? Since when? And, who hasn't considered that the scores may have been adjusted? We don't trust you. After all, it doesn't take forever for test scores to return.
I applaud those who have stood their ground and did what they had to to reveal the truth. Oliver, you just keep blogging. People are paying attention --even when they say they are not.

  43. wow, as a parent of LMS 6th grade and 7th and 8th grade, i must say that all i am reading is not shock to me at all, as i have witnessed some of this first hand. I will not complain about the structure in the school, however the administration sucks. Mrs Ervin has then running scared for thier jobs. Parents are treated like students if you are not ass kissing Ms Ervin. Mr Lavisso runs around like a gofer. Ms rahiem is a two faced evil lying bitch.

as a parent, it disturbs me how unhappy good teacher are. I can tell that the new folks are submissive people. and the strong ones are gone

i heard about the comments made about mr brown that was said from mrs ervin. my child come home upset behind that. when asked the school about the comment, ms rahiem, with her lying ass said it was a rumor!! Bullshit, too many kids heard it for it not to be said.

the frontoffie staff is a rude and nasty group of people, that includes the bookkeeper iin her office and the tall woman that looks like a man with a ponytail.

  44. You Know. It takes an ignorant person to say bullshit like this. As a former student of Mrs. Ervin, this is slander. She is one of the best educators and principals. If your school met AYP then you shouln't say a damn thing. Leave Her business where its suppose to be. How about the creator of this page become real and show they face. Most Likely you wont and show your true character of being a little ass child. If a teacher is scared to lose they job that means they're not doing something right. So if you so scared then you need to get your weight up and do your damn job you stupid prick of a teacher. Hope off Mrs. Ervin and let her continue doing the great job she has done. We'll be glad to have Mrs.Ervin back, this just another case of where a African American takes power and DOES A DAMN GOOD JOB and people such as the creator aka AN ASSHOLE/HATER of this blog only slanders and tell the bad to make themselves look good.
