I know Mrs. Ervin didn’t think having a false story printed in the Marietta Daily Journal was actually going to fly. I guess they’re trying to give her image a gorilla lift. It’s all a “SMOKE SCREEN”. Someone set this up. Out of all the APs in CCSD, why would anyone want to interview her? Come on?!? Really?? In the words of Pookie the drunk uncle “YOU GOT ME FUCKED UP!!” There’s no way that B.S. was going to slide. So you all know that I had to “represent” and speak my peace for the Lindley teachers. Yea. I posted a comment on the page. I doubt it will pass the screening process because there is too much truth in it and also because I called the columnist/reporter out for trying to slide that sh*t by. We’re not going for it. Have you taken the time necessary to fully report on this story or are you doing a favor for one of your buddies in CCSD and trying to run an anti-smear campaign to clean up Ervin's image? Let me tell you something. There isn’t enough soap at the Dove factory to pull that off. The truth is…… this is a person that lied to you as you were questioning her. Let me repeat that. "SHE LIED" to you! I’m not surprised by this because her ethics and morals are in the dungeon. She’s a classic sociopath (a person, as a psychopathic personality, whose behavior is antisocial and who lacks a sense of moral responsibility or social conscience). She has done very few positive things for the school if any. The school hasn’t made any progress since she got there. Actually, I’d have to say the momentum that the school was gaining under the former principal was slowed by the arrival of Mrs. Ervin. She’s a terrible “building supervisor”. Yes, “building supervisor”. She’s incapable of leading so I didn’t use the word Leader. She doesn’t have any administrative skills so I didn’t use the work “administrator”. She’s the equivalent of a glorified shift manager at KFC. So don’t try to pull a stunt like this again. Get your facts right before you proclaim to the world that you’ve found THE GREAT GORILLA HOPE. I’m sure that my comments won’t make it through the “filtering process” that you all have in place to keep all negative comments on this story censored.
Do you think teachers of Lindley are stupid? We know you’ll whatever it takes to keep this woman looking clean at this point because you wrote the story as a favor to someone. On the other hand, you may have been duped into writing the story. If so, you’re looking very incompetent for reporting such a false, preposterous, and under investigated story. ReplyDeleteI read the article and it made me not want to read the MDJ ever again. This story is not the real picture of transformation. Ervin and her husband, Fred, are Fred Sanderson's cronies. She is another basket case who did not past the background check and because of her being friends with the Big One she gets through the doors of the hiring process of CCSD.
ReplyDeleteFox News and AJC both reported negative stories about this person so why are you hiding behind the wall of politics just to get a few papers to sell. Investigate her real background on the practices that she uses to get rid of teachers, and the methods use to intimidate teacher just to get them to do their work.
People who lie for her and backstabbed their colleagues get promoted even when they are not qualified for the positions. Can you explain why this is in the whole CCSD system. It began with the Board, Supt, and central office.

1. You stated that you take away students excuses by providing them items such as belts. Why then do you charge Title 1 students $5 or more to attend in school assemblies or dances? No wonder they can’t afford belts! They are too busy spending $20-30 a month on candy and in school activities.
2. You stated that students used to walk across the street to go to the convenient store to get snacks. Why do you sell candy and other unhealthy foods before, after, and sometimes during school? Is this to keep them from leaving school grounds? Or is it to get rich off the poor kids? Where does this money go? Someone please investigate.
3. You stated that it is critical for students to buy into your plan. Are students really buying into your plan when you bombard them with threats and publically insult them by calling them ignorant?
4. You stated that teachers lacked focus. How can they focus when they are ridiculed publically in front of co-workers and students over the intercom for being a minute late to their duty station? Or how can they focus when they are threatened on a daily basis with write ups, PDP plans, extra evaluations, or the withholding of recommendation?
5. Why don't you let the teachers that want to leave Lindley go? Why do you block their transfer requests or by lie to them by telling them that transfers are not an option?
6. How are you an effective leader if you have had the highest turn of rate in Cobb County Schools for every year you have been at Lindley? I can guarantee it isn't because of the students!
7. Why do you expect things of your teachers that you yourself don't do (i.e. come to work on time, eat in the cafeteria at the table with the students, attend weekly staff development meetings, type up 15 page lesson plans, teach a class using the following: a warm up, activator, closing, differentiation, CFU's, media, EQ's, standards)?
8. Why did you choose not to re-hire the teachers you RIFed due to years of experience? Why did you hire new people from outside Cobb County without first offering the position to the person that was RIFed?
9. You stated teachers were embarrassed to say they worked at Lindley. To be honest, I would be more embarrassed to say that I worked for you.
10. You say you "love children". Why then are all of your actions motivated by your fame and your gain?
11. Even though you rarely enter teacher's classrooms, why do you believe that you can dictate what should be on teacher's formal evaluations (and mandate that the evaluating administrator follow your commands)?
12. Why did you refuse to allow assistant administrators to write letters or recommendations for faculty members wanting to leave Lindley?
13. How will you ever make it on the Oprah show now that she has closed up shop?!
I really wouldn't have done this article, Ms. Ervin. It opened up the can of worms for ethics evaluations. I liken you to a crooked politician or preacher. They look good on the outside, but dig a litter deeper and you will find their extra-marital affairs, their embezzlement, and their hypocrisy.

It is obvious that this person is frustrated at Ervin's actions,but is not safe coming out. Whoever is writing the blog needs to be be using all of this information in a productive way. If the information stated is true, it needs to be sent to the new superintendent, the area superintendent, Mace, and the whistle blower office at the county, state, and federal levels. If Ervin is doing unethical things, this will be the only way to stop it. Title One schools have many guidelines that they must follow to get funding. Ervin has no pull at the state and federal levels. This blog is only a place to vent. If you have solid evidence than it is time to move forward so that the students and teachers can be free of this mess.

I’m not threatening teachers, producing false paperwork to fire teachers, degrading teachers privately and in front of their peers, placing teachers on PDPs when they shouldn’t be on them, charging kids crazy amounts of money to participate in school activities, degrading students in front of their peers, and giving my staff a boatload of meaningless and trivial tasks that force them to work10-15 hour days. I’m not the once doing these things. As for productively using the information….LOL! The person that wrote the post above has to be a bit out of touch when it comes to public school systems. CCSD as well as others are corrupt. They are the new political arenas. Many of the representatives that stand in front of parents and community organizations a just slick politicians that only care about padding their pockets. They could care less about the teachers or the students. The superintendent (Sanderson), area superintendent, MACE, GAE, whistle blower office, and the school board all know about Ervin’s activities. The only one that is on the side of the teachers is MACE. Paperwork has been filed on Mrs. Ervin by teachers but the higher-ups are on her side. Why? They are corrupt. Which brings me back to the article…..The article in the MDG is a political tactic to try to boost Ervin’s image with the public. And if this reporter was worth half his weight in pennies he should have know it. That’s why he got called out. I guess there are no more questions. Good. Lastly, I’d like to give the reporters of the MDG some suggestions on a story that they could print about Mrs. Ervin…..after a thorough investigation. First, look into Mrs. Ervin’s hasty exit from CCSD. Why leave a place that you call “home”? Why was she transferred from Sandtown to Westlake in Fulton County Schools? Why was she booted out of Westlake? How was she able to come BACK to CCSD? People that post to this blog have mentioned that she couldn’t pass a background check? If that’s so, how is she able to remain a Cobb County employee? Who hired her? Who looked the ‘other way’ when the results of the background check came back? What’s the schools turnover rate? How many teachers has she fired because they couldn’t do their jobs correctly (on paper that is)? All teachers at Lindley know that she falsifies documentation. How many teachers have been placed on PDPs? Out of the teachers that have been placed on PDPs, how many of them were actually hired by her? What I mean is were all the teachers that have been placed on PDPs hired under the former principal? If so, why? Is it because they were bad teachers or was she trying to eliminate the former backbone of the staff. She has and continues to document people out of their jobs. Therefore any PDPs and bad evaluations that her staff receives should be viewed as Fruit of the poisonous tree (A legal metaphor in the United States used to describe evidence that is obtained illegally. The logic of the terminology is that if the source of the evidence (the "tree") is tainted, then anything gained from it (the "fruit") is as well.) This woman is psycho. Everything she does at the school is in an effort to gain some type of personal accolades, fame, and glory. Meeting her for the first time, a person may not know this because she is an expert of deception. Remember that history has taught us that most sociopaths, especially those that are in positions of power, appear to charismatic and genuine when necessary. Only the staff sees the real Mrs. Ervin. Don’t believe me? Conduct some interviews of current and former staff members….THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE…….

This blog is about exposing Ervin. The posters on this blog took it upon themselves and decided to call out other teacher and staff. You would not be complaining unless you are one of Ervins supporters or if someone hit a nerve and called you to the carpet on the truth. Nothing is being done or said on this website that Ervin hasn't done herself. Do you think she hasn't slandered us in front of students or coworkers? ReplyDeleteI agree! We need to come together and disassociate ourselves from this blog because of the different approaches and tactics that have been used. It was fun while it lasted, but no-one is going to take us serious as long as this type of format is out their floating around. I am hearing people siding more for Ervin after reading this blog. They are saying "OMG, I feel sorry for her and what she has to deal with." and "the entire staff needs to be dismissed. We are coming off as being disgruntled and or irate employees. Although for some of us it may be true but our actions have to be politically correct. Ervin will use this blog as a testimony of what happens when you come in and hold folks accountable. No need to respond…just ponder.
ReplyDeleteAlthough, I am no longer at Lindley. I agree with the above posts. For the kids sake and for your own sanity, please go speak with the superintendent or someone at Central Office. If you need help with evidence, I would be happy to meet with you to provide testimony or evidence from my time there.
ReplyDeleteI agree...come together and go to the county office and meet with the new superintendent. How do you think Westlake teachers got rid of her? To the individuals for have made the accusations of libel....this blog have been in place for over 2 years. If there was any defamation or libel going on trust and believe Ervin would have got an attorney. For the simple fact that she hasn't done this yet lets you know that the things posted on this blog is TRUE! The MDJ article was an attempt to counter act the comments of this blog and put Ervin in a better light.
ReplyDeleteI watched Lean on Me, the other day and the similarities between Joe Clark and Sandra Ervin were numerous but the main difference despite what the MDJ stated....Ervin does not care about the kids of Lindley and still has not seen the error in her ways when it comes to the horrible treatment of the staff.

Although the subject matter isn't supposed to be funny, I find myself laughing out loud a lot(and shakin' my head-mostly at the spelling/grammatical errors of anonymous poster like me)at many of the entries and responses.
ReplyDelete2. The politically incorrect slurs above were unnecessary and juvenile-grow up! There's no place for that here. Those comments cheapen the message and seriously ruin the flow.
3. The replies to the "attorney" had me ugly laughing.
As a parent of a child that transferred on choice I can speak to the way Ervin talks to parents (or should I say talk at the parents?) She acts as though she is the flame and we're moths or at least we should be. That we look to her to bring us out of darkness. She's dismissive and rude. She's unreasonable and thinks she knows everything. In short, she's a bully. I knew her rule/reign was NOT a good fit for my son, and before I caught a case, I jumped at the opportunity to transfer.
I can appreciate the success(es) that Lindley has seen over the past few years and congratulate the faculty, administration and students as they all did their part. A special congrats/kudos to the many students, even those not enrolled in AP classes, that were accepted into magnet programs throughout the county-impressive.
If she doesn't stand her ground parents like you would try to walk all over her. You can't have your cake and eat it too. Too many parents want to blame the school environment instead of taking their children and looking in the mirror.
ReplyDeleteParents like me have poured everything into our children and will not stand by and let the likes of Ervin, or anyone else, extinguish their love of school and learning. Now, Lindley was not a good fit for my family, but I can appreciate and applaud the successes of the school. Ervin's iron fist rule works for some and not for others.
ReplyDeleteNo one's trying to, as you so eloquently stated, run all over her. She is NOT interested in any original thought that did not originate in her head. Bottom line, she's NOT a very nice person and should learn how to better express herself when speaking to parents. I do NOT work for her and, contrary to what she believes, have a choice whether my child attends her school. Her stance, we HAVE to be there and she could say, do and behave however she pleases. Do unto others as you'd have them do to you. She did everything in her power to interfere with our transfer making up unreasonable rules as she went along. She made our leaving a HORRIBLE experience and I'm most certain the teachers that came to the front office to inquire felt her WRATH. Her attitude was NOT of a concerned Principal, but of a child who didn't get her way. Her words to our backs, perhaps to those in the office, were we'll be back- they always come back. She also threatened upon our return, my child will be stuck in whatever classes-what an administrator!
A modicum of respect is something I believe EVERYone deserves.

ReplyDeleteWhy should someone quit when someone else is being unethical? Ervin is always saying for us to act like professionals and buisness men/women. If we were not in the education field, an HR rep would have had Ervin tossed out on her behind a long time ago for her threats and intimidations. Why should someone quit their jobs when the love, adore, and cherish the students they work for? The source of the problem is Ervin, not the teachers.

Why else would she allow you to sit while you taught your class but yet state to the remainder of the faculty that a "true teacher" is never sitting? Things that make you go hmmm....You have also been privy to many of Ervin's "behind closed doors" meetings were she preps administration and other teachers to get rid of the "dead weight". Before you cheer and or jeer, please understand that possible violations according to Standard 10: Professional Conduct may exist. It is possible that your expressed detrimental experiences under the current administration has or will hinder you from performing your professional obligations. I am concerned about this type of behavior and am requesting that an investigation be launched. I can assure you that the investigation will not be on the current administration but on the professionals that hold such a podium as presented on this blog. This blog is unethical! Annually, teachers are informed of THE CODE OF ETHICS FOR EDUCATORS and are provided with the proper information on how to file a legitimate complaint. The conduct displayed on this site is not acceptable of professional educators. At the time of my submission of excerpts from this blog, I am also going to make a recommendation that every teacher at Lindley Middle School undergo a rehire process, this to be determined after an extensive investigation.

Yes, it's true. There are several former teachers on this blog, including myself. Nonetheless, we want justice for the teachers and students still there. Everything on this blog is not true. Some facts are distorted, bogus, and misleading. Somewhere, we have lost control and our intent has washed out. This blog is now a circus act that will only work against us. We do not want to become a public humiliation. “You are a teacher at LMS?” “You are a disgrace to Cobb County!” “We feel sorry for your principal.” Our reputations as teachers are on the line. Hiding behind this blog will only make our problems worse. Our complaints need to be dealt with head on and not in this type of format. Along with that there are people that are purposely trying to sabotage the credibility of the blog as well by posting outlandish fiction. We tend to draw our inspiration for topics from the things that we do best. So to the person that posted the fiction about what the daughters are doing……..Well, let’s just say I know what you do a lot of in your spare time. So have your boyfriend, husband, or jump-off help you deal with your oral fixation over the next couple of days because you literally “suck” as a writer. Anyone want a happy ending?
ReplyDeleteBesides the fictional posts there are also other members of TEAM GORILLA that are trying to scare you by questioning your ethics through threats with the Code of Conduct, title this, article that, blah, blah, blah. Think for a minute. If these people were really concerned with dealing with ethics and the code of conduct for educators they would be on our side. Instead they are trying to change your perception of the blog. “You need to see it as something bad” is what they want you to think. You need to sit down at the table of brotherhood with Erving and HR (the same people that are protecting her) like professional educators and come to an agreement, truce, or whatever the hell you want to call it. Yea right! HR is full of the same mutha-fuckas that help conceal and cover-up Ervin’s dirty dealings, give her strategies on how to fire employees, and appoint attorneys to help her set up teachers for failure (yea Ervin, we know). Do you really think you have a snowball’s chance in hell if you approach them with a problem or file a grievance? If so, I’d like to sell you some prime beach front property in the Middle East. I do agree with what the last poster said. There is strength is numbers. The problem with that is getting the numbers. How many are willing to put their necks out there and risk it being chopped off by the powers that be? If you’re ready to make the next step, do it. We all know each other and we’re out for the summer. Lets have a real COLLABORATIVE PLANNING SESSION and meet up to discuss things. Oh, one thing I forgot to mention, you have a problem. Per my attorney Mr. Matlock, when you file a grievance against a principal, it has to be done within 10 days of the incident. Which means that all the things that she has done during the past year are forgiven in the eyes of GAE and CCSD at this point because you’ve passed your 10 day window. Ain’t that some bullshit! So at this point the only thing that can bring justice to the situation is public attention, which is what they are trying to circumvent by telling you to stop coming to the blog. You can stop if you wish. That’s your choice. But I’m sure the majority aren’t going anywhere. And for all those trying to silence us. Sorry. It didn’t work. We’re just gonna get on your nerves a bit more by yelling the TRUTH a bit LOUDER!!!! Mrs. Ervin. If you think this blog slapped you in your banana hole, you haven’t seen anything yet. I’ll give you a date to remember. It’s the date that all of Atlanta will get the news of what you’ve been doing. I’ll give you a hint. You know all those jumbo electronic advertising billboards, youtube (Charles Barkley’s song) well lets just say, “you’re about to be a star”. It’s a date when the professional standards commission will receive a very special package. What’s in it? LOL! Wouldn’t you like to know? Lastly, I’d like to address all those that question the professionalism of the teachers that post on this blog. It is because we are professional that we post comments on this blog. Be honest with yourselves people. Everyone, excluding Ervin, tries to be professional AT WORK. But this blog does not exist in a classroom. It is in cyberspace. This is where you can be your ‘away from work’ self or your ‘fictional’ self. Isn’t that right Mrs. Ervin a.k.a. McBeautiful36-24-36 (nothing could be further from the truth). And to be honest this site wasn’t created to be professional. It was created as a response to a great amount of injustice, unethical treatment, bullying of staff, undue stress, excessive work hours, threatening of jobs, libel, and plain ol’ abuse of power. When people get fed up, it’s not going to be a setting filled with flowers and butterflies. It’s going to be real!! And I’m the first of say that what you read from me on the blog at times, well frequently , is not my professional self. I’m gonna speak in slang and curse when I feel like it. Shit! If you believe in Karma, God, or both, the one thing that most people agree with is that the world/universe is always trying to achieve a state of balance. Mrs. Ervin has done things to tip the scale and upset that balance in the lives of many people. Which brings me to this point. My approach as well as many other teachers that post on this blog is not meant to be professional, it just comes out the way it is. Therefore, in my eyes, I’m just an instrument used by the universe to right the wrongs that have been committed by a educational tyrant. ReplyDeleteI have never taught at Lindley but have followed the blog since its inception. As an objective observer, I have read your posts and laughed and cried with you and (most) of your followers. Your writing is clear, precise, witty and honest. I encourage you to fight the fight and continue with this blog. It is obvious that the author is articulate, passionate and above average in intelligence.
I find the writing from the "other side" desperate and juvenile (not to mention the misspellings, grammatical errors, etc.) Those writers have tried using threats from OGs, ethics violations, and posts from so-called attorneys to try to intimidate you and your followers.
Remember you can do both-approach the county and Ervin as the professionals you are, listing your concerns and your documentation of her misdeeds. At the same time, you can keep the truth out there through this blog. Closing it (blog) down would give in to the desperate, bully tactics of those very few posters.
